The Plan

Over the years I have figured out more and more who I am, what I love and what my design style is. Of course it is ever changing and evolving but the foundation has for the most part stayed the same. I favor neutrals but love to add texture, interest, and small pops of muted color with different materials and natural elements.

Our home is very “open concept”. From the front door you are able to see the living room, dining room and kitchen. Having a cohesive space is very important to me especially because it is essentially one giant room.

When we built our house one of the items on our list was to be able to entertain our friends and family with lots of space to move around.  Building a ranch style home really allowed for this especially with our ability to have a large open walk-out basement.

Adding a Faux Brick Wall

I’m always looking for ways to add more character to our newer build.  As many of you know we designed and built our home back in 2013, and although we put a lot of thought into the finishes and details, we couldn’t have it all.  We were newly married and fresh out of college so had to stick to a budget.
